Katrina Kaif, real name Katrina Turquotte (born 16 July 1984), is a British-Indian actress and a former model who appears in Bollywood films. She has also appeared in regional Indian films.Kaif made her acting debut in 2003 with Kaizad Gustad's Boom, which bombed at the box office. Later, Kaif made appearances in moderately successful films such as Sarkar (2005) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005), which helped boost her image in the industry. In 2006, Kaif was largely appreciated for her role as Jia A. Yashvardhan from the film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, but the film didn't do very well.
